The Delirians

The Delirians are the heavy-hitters of California’s growing traditional ska and reggae scenes. Based out of East Los Angeles, founders Angel Salgado (vocals, guitar) and Tony "teclado" Medina (organ, vocals), strive to keep the vintage, classic reggae sound alive. With tracks like "Walkie Talkie" and "Leave This Town," you'll be sure to hear reflections of a 1960s-era sound, while noticing a distinctly L.A. flavor The Delirians are well-known for.

Jackie Mendez

Jackie Mendez is one of the buzziest names among modern ska singers. Growing up listening to a wide range of music, her introduction to the British two-tone ska revival music of the late 1970s sparked her passion for music. She developed a keen interest in 1960's era Jamaican ska and reggae influenced by singers Ellis and Ken Boothe.

When Angel City Records approached Mendez, the focus was to showcase her as a solo artist while supplying her with backing by the label's virtuosic reggae/ska in-house recording band Thee Hurricanes. Her first release, the Introducing Jackie MendezEP, has been making waves worldwide as she continues to perform in the west coast of California and Mexico. Mendez has toured independently and with top international acts like Mon Laferte and Natalia Lafourcade. Her latest single "Forever True" is a prelude to her full-length debut, slated for release in summer 2018.
